A few hours later at the Highland Rim Invitational at Westmoreland High School, The Band swept Class D with First Place Guard, Percussion and Band.  The Band earned Second Place in entire Small Division, comprised of Classes C & D. The Band also finished 5th Place overall out of all 13 Bands there, and had the 2nd best Percussion out of all 13, and also the 3rd best Guard out of 13.

“The kids have worked extremely hard beginning in April, and all Summer”, said Band Director Rob Joines. “Our goal is to make Finals at the Tennessee Division I State Marching Championship”. The state championship takes place November 4 at Riverdale High School.

TCHS’ seniors are preparing to audition for university scholarships that will be awarded at Riverdale. Since 2003, every senior that has needed a band scholarship has earned one.
