After losing three straight, the JSMS boys picked up a nice win over visiting Gordonsville, 46-42. JSMS came in averaging 26.4 points per game, and had reached that mark at the half, leading 26-20 and the break.
Led by a great team defensive effort, the Jackets constantly challenged shots from a good perimeter shooting Gordonsville team. The offense kept attacking the rim and scoring or getting fouled and getting to the free throw line (11-21 on the night).
Seven Jackets got into the scoring column (Season best) led by Cole Gregory and Kobyn Calhoun who scored 14 and 11, respectfully. Salton Stafford missed out on double-digits by one point as he poured in 9. Kingston McClain has his best offensive night of the season chipping in 6 points (all in first half). 7th grader Noah Cook added 3, Mason Eden 2, and Jake Fergusson 1 rounded out the scoring.
