A walk-off left Lady Jackets on the wrong end of a 6-3 defeat to Gordonsville on Thursday. The game was tied at three with Gordonsville batting in the bottom of the seventh when a walk-off homerun scored three runs to end the game.
Lady Jackets opened up scoring in the second inning, when Makayla Crook hit a solo homer.
Hannah Hailey led things off in the pitcher’s circle for Lady Jackets. She went six and two-thirds innings, allowing six runs on six hits and striking out five.
Lady Jackets hit two home runs on the day. Crook put one out in the second inning. Kirsten Eversole went yard in the seventh inning.
Eversole had a big night and went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Lady Jackets in hits.
